NEDA Organizes Training Workshop on Operational Procedures Under NEDA’’s Financial Assistance Framework

On January 23, 2025, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), together with H.E. Pen Thirong, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), and H.E. Ek-on Kunacharoen, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, presided over the opening ceremony of the NEDA Training Workshop on Operational Procedures Under NEDA's Financial Assistance Framework.

On this occasion, Colonel (Ret.) Saranyu Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., Vice President of NEDA, provided an overview of NEDA’s financial and technical assistance initiatives, highlighting past cooperation projects with neighboring countries. Additionally, representatives from MEF delivered a presentation on "Standard Operating Procedures on Project Management and Procurement" to enhance participants’ understanding of best practices in project implementation.

The workshop was held from January 23–24, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, through a collaboration between NEDA and MEF. Its objective was to equip Cambodian government officials with in-depth knowledge of NEDA’s financial assistance procedures, enabling them to manage and implement projects effectively. Participants included representatives from MEF and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) of Cambodia, who are directly involved in projects under NEDA’s financial and technical assistance framework.
