On January 24, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) welcomed MR. Winfried Wicklein, Director General, ADB Southeast Asia Department for his courtesy visit. In their discussion, they shared updates on the ongoing collaborative efforts in infrastructure development within the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), facilitated by the partnership between NEDA and ADB. Additionally, they explored future directions and strategies for their joint initiatives in the next phase.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
