On Thursday, August 24, 2023, Colonel Dr. Saranyu Viriyawetkul, Deputy Director of the Office of Economic Development Cooperation with Neighboring Countries, headed the delegation consisting of Mr. Rapipit Phromnarath, Director of the Policy and Planning Office, Ms. Wichulada Phongthorn, an expert fund management officer, and Ms. Phanpa Phoonmak, a policy and planning analysis officer attended The 11th CEXIM-EDCF-JICA-NEDA Seminar at Conrad Seoul Hotel, Seoul, Republic of Korea under the conference topic “The Overview of Private Sector Development Assistance” Mr. CHO Chung-Hwa, Director General, the EDCF Coordination Department, chaired the meeting. Representatives of agencies attending the meeting included JICA, China Export-Import Bank: CXIM, Economic Development Cooperation Fund: EDCF and NEDA.
The objective of the meeting was to exchange knowledge, experience, tools, mechanisms and models of cooperation for development that support the principle of “Private Sector Development Assistance”. It is in line with the development context and direction that focuses on integrating development cooperation with the private sector to achieve concrete and sustainable development cooperation in the Mekong Subregion.
