On August 22, 2023, Mr. Keerati Weruwan, Deputy Director of the Office of Economic Development Cooperation with Neighboring Countries, together with the executive team and officials of the Office of Economic Development Cooperation, traveled to have a meeting with representatives of the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili. It was led by Mr. Sakonwat Thongcharoen, Charge d'Affaires, Acting Ambassador, and Mr. Phichitpan Satchan, First Secretary along with representatives of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is led by Lieutenant Sorawut Prididilok, Ambassador to Helsinki, acting at the Department of International Cooperation. They discussed and promoted cooperation for development between the NEDA and Timor-Leste to plan a cooperation project from 21 – 25 August 2023 at the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili. On this occasion, the three sides exchanged information, opinions and cooperation policies to promote cooperation for development between each other. The three parties have focused on cooperation projects that will support the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste's entry into the ASEAN Community.
