Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Thailand Meet the NEDA Chairman.

H.E. Mr. Ly Bounkham, the ambassador of Laos PDR, came to meet Ms. Chularat Suteethorn, Chairman of the NEDA Board, on 4th July 2017 due to the end of his term.  In this occasion, they discussed about cooperation projects between NEDA and Laos PDR, especially economic and transportation linkage, namely the construction site of Ban Huag (Phayao) - Muang Khob - Muang Xiang Hone and Muang Khob - Ban Pakkhob - Ban Koneteun Road Improvement Projects including Hongsa District – Ban Chiangman (Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province) Road Construction Project, Laos PDR. In this occasion the ambassador would like to thank for our previous cooperation of NEDA – Laos PDR and hope this cooperation would strengthen our relationship between the two countries in the future.

Colonel (Ret.) Saranyu Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), together with the executive team and staff, presented a floral tribute and signed a well-wishing book for Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, praying for her recovery and good health. The event took place at the Chulabhorn Oncology Medical Centre, Chulabhorn Hospital, on October 10, 2024.

NEDA Participates in The Round Table Meeting among Development Cooperation Agencies of ASEAN Member Countries and Japan in Tokyo, Japan
Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), along with Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Director of the Policy and Planning Bureau, attended The Round Table Meeting among Development Cooperation Agencies of ASEAN Member Countries and Japan. The meeting was held in Tokyo, Japan, bringing together representatives from five key organizations: (1) Indonesian Agency for International Development (Indonesian AID), (2) International Cooperation and Development Division (Malaysia), (3) Technical Cooperation Directorate (Singapore), (4) Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and (5) Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

NEDA Participates in Chiang Man Bridge Project Handover in Laos
On October 8, 2024, Professor Tongthong Chandransu, Chairperson of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), along with Mr. Kirati Veruwan, NEDA Vice President, attended the handover ceremony of the detailed design study for the construction of the Chiang Man-Luang Prabang Bridge in Laos. The event coincided with Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s official visit to the Lao People’’s Democratic Republic, held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Vientiane.

Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), attended the 134th anniversary celebration of the Comptroller General’s Department and contributed to the "Comptroller General’s Department Welfare Fund" for charity and social activities. Mrs. Patricia Mongkhonvanit, Director General of the Comptroller General’’s Department, and department executives welcomed the attendees at the Ministry of Finance’s 150-Year Building on October 7, 2024. Ms. Wilawan Phayanoi, Advisor on Financial and Fiscal System Development, accepted the handover at the 150th Anniversary Building of the Ministry of Finance on October 7, 2024.
