On October 29, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), was invited as a panelist at the seminar *Japan’s ODA: the Past, Present, and Future with Thailand* as part of the *Japan’s ODA 70th Anniversary Seminar: Creating Tomorrow Together.* The event, organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok, aimed to share successes and discuss challenges regarding JICA's development cooperation efforts in Thailand.
In this participation, the President of NEDA presented topics regarding his appreciation for the collaboration with JICA under the framework of the Japan-Thailand Partnership Program Phase 3 (JTPP3).
He highlighted the success of the project to develop the Stung Bot permanent border crossing and the connecting road to National Road No. 5 in Cambodia. He also provided recommendations for the direction of cooperation between NEDA and JICA over the next 10 years, emphasizing collaboration in Financial Assistance (FA) and Technical Assistance (TA) that prioritizes Sustainable Development and Green Development.
This seminar was attended by participants from various sectors, including the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), the Public Debt Management Office (PDMO), various Development Partners (DPs), and experts from the academic sector.
