The Board of Directors of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency, led by Professor Tongthong Chandransu, Chairman of the Board, Board Member, visited the Pierre BENITE hydropower plant of Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (CNR). The delegation was welcomed by CNR representatives Mr. Guillaume BOUSQUET, Director of the Plant, and Mr. Clément GABORIAU, Electro-mechanical Project Manager.
This visit to the hydropower plant provided NEDA with an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the end-to-end electricity generation process, from upstream to midstream and downstream, as well as the efficient management system of hydropower to maximize economic benefits from the Rhône River, a crucial water source for France.
This study visit is highly beneficial for NEDA in applying the knowledge and experience gained to the planning and implementation of renewable energy projects for NEDA, particularly the development of hydropower projects, which are clean energy sources and crucial for NEDA's future sustainable development efforts.
