On 22nd May 2019, the representatives from Japan International Cooperation Agency: JICA including Mr. Shigenori Ogawa, Director General, Department of Southeast Asia, Mr. Kazuo Takeuchi, Senior Representative, JICA Thailand Office, Mr. Katsuya Miyoshi, Project Formulation Advisor, JICA Thailand Office and Mr. Toshio Fujinuma, Expert, Project for Promotion of Economic Development and Connectivity in the Western Region, met with Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of NEDA and Senior Colonel Saranyu Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., Vice President to discuss about the cooperation between NEDA and JICA such as (1) Infrastructure Development Project at Stung-Bot Immigration Checkpoint (2) The progress of Dawei deep seaport Development Project (3) Two-Lane Road Improvement Project connecting Dawei Special Economic Zone and Thailand – Myanmar Border (4) The cooperation support between NEDA, JICA and Myanmar to push forward the progress of Dawei deep seaport Development Project in Myanmar.
