On February 26, 2025, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NEDA) (Public Organization), had the honor of being a Keynote Speaker at the Finance in Common Summit 2025 (FiCS2025), addressing the breakout session on "Innovative Technical Assistance: Driving Impact Through Global Cooperation."
During the session, the President of NEDA emphasized the importance of academic cooperation (Technical Assistance – TA), which serves as a crucial mechanism for project preparation, capacity building, and knowledge transfer to developing countries. The President highlighted some of the limitations in implementing TA, such as the lack of cooperation between development partners in providing TA and the shortage of appropriate technology systems.
The President also presented strategies for improving the effectiveness of TA, stressing the need to foster collaboration between development partners to reduce duplication of efforts and create a participatory development approach. This approach would enable recipient countries to feel a sense of ownership over projects and ensure that they can be implemented continuously and sustainably. At the same time, the integration of digital technology in developing academic cooperation systems was emphasized to improve operational efficiency and support the concept of a future TA Pooled Platform.
