NEDA Explores Opportunities at the Midwifery Center in Quelicai, Timor-Leste

         On February 14, 2024, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), alongside H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Timor-Leste in Dili, and Ms. Pressia Arfin-Cabo, representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), visited the Midwifery Center in Quelicai, Timor-Leste. The visit aimed to assess the potential for a collaborative project aimed at enhancing the Community Maternal and Child Health Center for Maternity and Midwifery (BEmONC) in the area. This initiative seeks to strengthen the partnership between NEDA, UNFPA, and the Timor-Leste government in the public health sector, aligning with NEDA’s strategy of cooperation with neighboring countries.
