On 9th March 2022, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency: JICA) attended The Third NEDA-JICA Annual Meeting at JICA Thailand Office and online meeting for participants from head office and regional offices. Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of NEDA, acted as the head of NEDA team and Mr. HATAEDA Mikio, Director General, Southeast Asia and Pacific Department, acted as the head of JICA team.
The meeting was to hold the bilateral meeting among Development Partners from Japan and Thailand who play an important role in providing assistance for a purpose of development in Greater Mekong Subregion. It aimed to discuss and exchange information about policy operation guidelines regarding assistance for the purpose of development, as well as exchange information about project operation for development in Greater Mekong Subregion countries, especially Thailand’s neighboring countries such as Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. The discussion was also about the possibility of collaboration guidelines and a project to assist and mitigate the effect from COVID-19 pandemic.
