Meeting with the Lao National Railway Enterprise to close the Thai-Lao Railway Construction Project, Phase 2 (Thanaleng-Vientiane Line) Part 2

On June 23, 2023, Mr. Kirati Veluwan, Deputy Director of Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency and NEDA delegation together with the Lao National Railway State Enterprise delegation led by Mr. Daochinda Siharat, Managing Director of the Lao PDR State Railway Enterprise, the meeting discussed issues related to the preparation of the report on the Thai-Laos Railway Construction Project, Phase 2 (Thanaleng-Vientiane Line), Part 2, and discussed for pushing for the railway between Thailand and Lao PDR, the training of Lao PDR personnel and the preparation of a business plan for the Thai-Laos Railway Construction Project, Phase 2 (Thanaaleng-Vientiane Line), Part 2, which is Projects that NEDA provides financial assistance and construction was completed in 2022.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
