On Friday 4th February 2022, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) held a meeting on Potential Pipeline Projects, to assist 3 neighboring countries, which are Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar, financially and academically; and introduce Country Strategy 2022-2027, with Department of East Asian Affairs. Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Policy and Planning Bureau Director, was a representative from NEDA to attend a discussion with Mr. Worapan Sriworanath, Director of Division II, Department of East Asian Affairs.
The meeting aimed to present Country Strategy 2022-2027 to Department of East Asian Affairs so, the direction of NEDA’s cooperation for development was acknowledged. The discussion was also about the current situations on economy, society, potential and development limitation; and direction of cooperation for development between Thailand and neighboring countries. The discussion included NEDA’s policy implementation on international development cooperation through Official Development Assistance: ODA. Development goals, which support economic-social potential and adhere to the principle of Mutual Benefit between Thailand and neighboring countries, were also considered, for example, Connectivity; Digital Infrastructure Development; Urban, Rural and Public Utility Development etc. Suggestions were also taken into account to prepare for Potential Pipeline Projects, according to Country Strategy 2022-2027, to create concrete achievement and sustainable development.
