NEDA and Timor-Leste Collaborate on SERVE I.P Project to Enhance Bilateral Development Initiatives

On February 15, 2024, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), together with Ms. Dariwan Prempoomwate, Director of Project Operation and Management Bureau I, and Mr. Sakollawat Thongcharoen, Minister Counsellor of Thailand to Timor-Leste, met Mr. Florencio Sanches, Executive Director, SERVE I.P from the Republic Democratic of Timor-Leste to discuss projects that the SERVE I.P agency wishes to receive support from the NEDA, especially the training of officials at all levels of SERVE I.P regarding the establishment of the Agriculture Bank, as well as discuss guidelines for joint operations to push forward collaborative projects between them in the future.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
