NEDA attended Kick-off Meting on R12 Project and Follow Up Meeting on Lao-Thai Railway Project, Lao PDR

On May 30, 2018, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, NEDA’s President, NEDA’s staff,  Mr.  Bouachanh Ouansavanh, Deputy Director of Department of Roads of Loa PDR, and the Consultants had a kick-off meeting on Technical Assistance Project titled Feasibility Study and Detailed Design of the Improvement of National Road 12 (R12) Section of Thakek to Na Phao Cheek point Project, Lao People's Democratic Republic. The Study is scheduled to be completed in March 2019. The meeting was held at Department of Roads, Vientiane, Lao PDR.

 

On the same day, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, NEDA’s President, and NEDA’s staff had a meeting with Lao Railway Authority to follow up the progress and consider the review of detailed design of Financial Assistance Project titled Lao-Thai Railway Construction Project Phase 2. The meeting was held at Lao Railway Authority, Vientialne, Lao  PDR.

NEDA Collaborates with CIDCA on Financial and Academic Assistance Strategies in China’’s Mekong River Sub-Region
On April 4, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), along with a delegation from NEDA, met with Mr. Du Wei, Deputy Director-General of the First Department of Regional Affairs at the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA). The meeting focused on discussing the direction, policies, and mechanisms of financial and academic assistance provided by the People’’s Republic of China in the Mekong River sub-region. During this meeting, NEDA introduced its role and mission to CIDCA, informing the agency of NEDA’’s key role as a Thai governmental body in fostering development cooperation in the Mekong River sub-region.
