On 5th November 2020, Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Policy and Planning Bureau Director of Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) hosted an informal seminar between CEXIM-EDCF-JICA-NEDA via VDO Conference. The seminar aimed to act as a stage for 4 representatives from Export-Import Bank of China (CEXIM), Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of South Korea, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and NEDA to discuss as well as exchange each country’s experiences and operation in dealing with covid-19 pandemic situation. Mr. I Kadek Dian Sutrisna, Chief Economist, a representative from PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) or PT SMI of Indonesia, was invited to the seminar to introduce his organization and exchange his ideas and experiences from participating in International Development Finance Club (IDFC). The representative from JICA also shared his experiences and introduced all participants to a seminar by an international development organization or Finance in Common Summit which was held during 11-12 November 2020 in Paris via VDO Conference. This would be an opportunity for development organizations around the world to attend such a seminar without having to be IDFC members.
The seminar was to encourage an information exchange among 4 organizations during this time that NEDA is unable to arrange the 10th CEXIM-EDCF-JICA-NEDA Seminar in Thailand due to Covid-19 pandemic situation around the world.
