On 24th December 2021, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) held a meeting on Potential Pipeline Projects, to assist 3 neighboring countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar) financially and academically; and introduce Country Strategy 2022-2027, with Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand. Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Policy and Planning Bureau Director, was a representative from NEDA to attend a discussion with Mr. Niyom Waiyarachpanich, vice-president of Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand.
The meeting aimed to present Country Strategy 2022-2027 to Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, so the direction of NEDA’s cooperation for development was acknowledged. The discussion was also about policy regarding trade, investment, area-based development, logistics strategy to connect Thailand’s Supply Chain in subregion and connect Missing Link, both hardware and software. The suggestion was discussed towards Cooperation for International Development through Financial Assistance: FA and Technical Assistance: TA, which support and facilitate Thai entrepreneur and investors on trade and investment. It was also to increase border trade and cross border value, and to promote economic growth in Greater Mekong Subregion, as well as to determine guidelines to prepare for Potential Pipeline Projects, which in accordance with Country Strategy 2022-2027, in order to create concrete achievement and sustainable development.
