NEDA Welcomes Study Visit from Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, Chiang Mai University

     Bangkok, Thailand — September 12, 2025 — Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Director of the Policy and Planning Bureau of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), welcomed and delivered a special lecture on the topic “The Role of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) in Implementing Official Development Assistance (ODA).”
     The lecture was presented to faculty members and students from the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, Chiang Mai University, during their study visit to the Sun Towers Building on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road. The program provided an opportunity for knowledge sharing and academic exchange, offering participants insights into NEDA’s role in promoting official development cooperation with neighboring countries.

Rathnayake, Director General of the National Planning Department (NPD), Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. The meeting aimed to present and receive feedback on the Country Strategy 2026–2030, including NEDA’s three strategic development pillars: (1) Cross-Border Economic Enhancement, (2) Cross-Border Social Return Initiative, and (3) Cross-Border Environmental Impact Reduction.

NEDA Representative Discusses Country Strategy 2026–2030 with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Sri Lanka Resident Mission (SLRM) in Colombo, Sri Lanka
On 8 September 2025, Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Director of Policy and Planning Bureau, represented the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) in a meeting with representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Sri Lanka Resident Mission (SLRM). The purpose of the meeting was to present the Country Strategy 2026–2030. Both parties exchanged information on the implementation of Official Development Assistance (ODA) in Sri Lanka, as well as updates on the current economic situation in the country. The discussion also covered potential approaches for enhancing future cooperation between NEDA and ADB. The meeting took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Bangkok, September 2, 2025 — Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), attended the 110th anniversary celebration of the Revenue Department. During the event, Mr. Kirati extended congratulations and contributed to charitable activities organized by the Slum Child Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, the Princess of Naradhiwas, supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for children in local communities.

NEDA Presents Midterm Plan I and Country Strategy to the Ministry of Finance of Lao PDR to Strengthen Infrastructure Cooperation
Vientiane, Lao PDR, August 27, 2025 — Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), led a delegation to meet with Ms. Phengkhiem Xayakeo, Deputy Director General of the International Finance and Cooperation Department (IFCD), Ministry of Finance, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR). During the meeting, Mr. Kirati presented NEDA’s Midterm Plan I for 2026–2030 and the Country Strategy for 2026–2030, and the delegation exchanged views on the current economic landscape, future trends, and constructive suggestions.
