On 26 February 2026, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), together with Mr. Kirati Veruwan,, Vice President of NEDA, and the delegation, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Leklai Sivilay, Minister of Public Works and Transport of the Lao PDR, on the occasion of his visit to sign the Record of Discussion (ROD) for the Technical Assistance (TA) project on the detailed design of the Phase 2 Water Supply System Improvement Project in the Lao PDR, covering Luang Prabang, Khammouane, Savannakhet, Champasak, and Vientiane Capital.
During the meeting, the delegation reported on the status of ongoing projects in the Lao PDR and discussed future Thailand–Lao PDR cooperation projects in accordance with NEDA’s strategy for development cooperation with neighbouring countries, which focuses on the development of projects aimed at reducing the impacts of climate change in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The meeting was held at the reception room of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR.
