Project Evaluation Meeting for the Water Supply Project(s) in Lao PDR

On July 18th, 2022, Mr. Raphipit Phromnarot, the Director of the Office of Policy and Planning engaged in the Joint Evaluation meeting for the assessment project(s) to inspect the benefits and impacts of the completed projects which are the 5 water supply projects in Lao PDR with the representatives of the Department of Water Supply, the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation in which the meeting included the representatives from the District Public Works and the representatives from the state water supply enterprises in all 5 districts that possess project areas. Both parties came up with a consistent opinion and mutually agreed on the overall project evaluation results.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
