From 5 th -6 th March 2019, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President and Mr. Rapipit Promnart,
Policy and Planning Bureau Director, two representatives from Neighbouring Countries Economic
Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization): NEDA attended a conference and met
with Dr. Souphanh Keomixay, Minister of Planning and Investment. They discussed the area
selection to provide financial and academic assistance to Lao People's Democratic Republic in
the Vientiane capital. They also met to acknowledge information on the project which has the
potential to provide financial and academic assistance. In this occasion, NEDA joined the
discussion with LT. Chatchawan Sakornsin RTN., the Minister at Royal Thai Embassy Vientiane,
Lao PDR to hear his opinions and suggestions about the operation in Lao PDR. NEDA also met
with Mr. OSHIKIRI Koji, senior representative and Ms. Saori Yamamoto, a representative from
Japan International Cooperation Agency: JICA to exchange information about the operation of
the cooperation programmes for development, and to discuss the economic situation in Lao
PDR.
