NEDA Attended the 13th ASEAN Connectivity Symposium

On October 3rd, 2022, Colonel Sarunyu Wiriyavejkul, the Deputy Director of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), attended the 13th ASEAN Connectivity Symposium Conference in Phnom Penh, the Kingdom of Cambodia as a speaker at under session 1: “ASEAN Connectivity Post 2025 Vision: Issues and Challenges”.

The 13th Symposium on ASEAN Connectivity was set up by the Permanent Mission of Cambodia to ASEAN in conjunction with the ASEAN Secretariat and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (Economic). The Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) has the purpose to be a platform for stakeholders from the government sector, financial institutions, ASEAN development organizations, and the Think Tank institution, to discuss and exchange appropriate practices, interoperability, and partnerships to expand ASEAN connectivity and also promote joint initiatives in ASEAN connectivity. This is by focusing on discussions on expanding connectivity in ASEAN to help promote and support the achievement of goals under the ASEAN Community 2025 Vision, towards building the ASEAN Community Vision after the year 2025 (ASEAN Community Post 2025 Vision) that is inclusive, sustainable, and resilient to crises that may occur in the future, especially issues related to climate change and the transformation towards a digital economy and society.
