NEDA attended a meeting to discuss about policy Implementation guideline in economic diplomacy context regarding the connection of Thailand towards Laos-China Railway Project.

Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of NEDA, attended a meeting with senior experts from both government and private organizations to discuss about adaptation context of Thailand towards Laos-China Railway Project. The meeting was held by Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand (His Excellency Mr. Chutintorn Gongsakdi) acted as a chairman.

The meeting was a discussion to evaluate adaptation guideline and context of Thailand in different dimensions including in geopolitics and economic geography, the connection of Thailand towards Laos-China Railway Project, as well as the consideration of connection concept, infrastructure development and Thai supply chain expansion under world new context after covid-19. However, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of NEDA, proposed a guideline to carry out cooperation strategy for international development in Lao PDR which focused on projects with mutual benefit and created economic link in Greater Mekong Sub-region (Regional Supply Chains). He also presented the status of Thanaleng – Vientiane Railway Construction Project under NEDA mission which promoted seamless connectivity between International transportation network and Laos-China Railway Project.
