Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President, organized volunteer activities for the public good and public charity on the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great’’s birthday, National Father’’s Day, Dec. 5, 2023. The NEDA organized a Buddhist prayer ritual to provide royal merit, donated the necessary supplies for the temple’’s renovation, and released 90 kg of fish as an offering to the Buddha to convey allegiance in memory of His Majesty’’s grace. The event was led by Phra Maha Santhiyanmethi, Secretary of Wat Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan at Wat Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan on December 15th, 2023.

Colonel Dr. Saranyu Wiriyawetkul, Deputy Director of the Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee for Driving Volunteers to Develop Quality of Life for the Happiness of the People, leads volunteers to create smiles and laughter along with passing on the inspiration to the Foundation for Slum Child Care (Suea Yai Child Care Foundation) It is in remembrance of His Majesty’’s benevolence and offered as a royal merit on the special occasion of the 7th anniversary of his death (Sattamawara) on the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great’’s Navamindra Day, 13 October 2023. They were welcomed by Mrs. Silda Rangsikarnpum, Manager of the Foundation for Slum Child Care.

Mr. Peeramet Wutthithornnetirak, Director of the Office of Economic Development Cooperation with Neighboring Countries and Colonel Dr. Saranyu Viriyawetkul, Deputy Director along with the executive team and officials attended the donation ceremony. Such as playground equipment, sports equipment, stationary equipment, consumer goods, including teaching media and travel facilities for Stung Bot Primary School. It is located on the Stung Bot Permanent Border Crossing Development Project area and a link road to Road No. 5 of the Kingdom of Cambodia. It is to enable this educational institution to have educational management and be able to develop the potential of the community in terms of skills, knowledge and modern equipment and to fully develop children and youth. The Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Ministry of Education, Cambodian Youth and Sports, representatives from Banteay Meanchey Province, teachers, students and citizens attended as witnesses. To build good relations between Thailand and Cambodia, NEDA delivered bicycles to children to ride to school under the slogan “Friendster” at Stung Bot Primary School, Banteay Meanchey Province, Kingdom of Cambodia on 10 August 2023

Cambodia is classified as a less-developed country, still trapped with poverty. The Cambodian government, therefore, places top priority to define its economic and social strategies to address the chronic poverty, and upgrade quality of life and living standards of people, especially those in the remote rural areas. The government is now embarking on the National Strategic Development Plan.

Laos PDR still has plenty of mineral resources, both surveyed sources and those pending surveys. Demand for minerals has recently increased in line with growing demand in the global market during the last few years. Prices of minerals have shot up very rapidly, due to limited supply. At present, Lao government has granted concessions for mineral survey in many areas to foreign miners.

Myanmar is governed by a military junta under the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC). SPDC Chairman is the country ruler, and the Prime Minister is the government head.
